Europa League Predictions and Preview

The Europa League returns this week and there is a crucial game for Rangers at Ibrox while West Ham host Genk at the London Stadium.

Their respective matches are previewed in our Europa League betting tips and we have predictions for five fixtures which can be combined to make a 36/1-plus acca.

Europa League acca36.75/1

Rangers vs Brondby

The way Group A is developing, this could be a showdown for the wooden spoon and both need to start picking up crucial points if they want to progress in the competition.

Rangers reached the last 16 last term but have lost both group games so far and are shackled to the bottom of the table.

Steven Gerrard’s side are yet to score in this stage of the competition and will be hoping to give the Ibrox faithful something to cheer as they welcome the Danish champions to Glasgow.

Brondby drew their first group game 0-0 with Sparta Prague but they were put firmly in their place by Lyon, losing 3-0 last time out.

A defeat for either side here would make finishing in the top two extremely difficult and with both searching for a first goal in the group stage, this game could be nervy in the early stages.

However, it can’t help but open up as the game develops and it would be no surprise to see both sides finally break their goalscoring duck to start our Europa League betting tips.

Both teams to score1/1

PSV vs Monaco

Both of these sides sit on four points in Group B, with the hosts edging top spot thanks to their superior goal difference.

PSV are unbeaten since putting four past Sturm Graz on matchday two and have kept on scoring, notching up 2-1 and 3-1 victories in the Dutch top flight.

Eran Zahavi was on the scoresheet in the win over Sturm Graz and the Israel international could get the chance to add to his tally here while the 22-year-old Cody Gapko has also been catching the eye in a PSV shirt this term.

Monaco suffered their first defeat in seven when losing to Lyon last weekend and will be looking to quickly bounce back.

However, they have been struck by injuries to some of their key men and that could allow PSV to pinch the victory on home soil as one of our Europa League predictions.

PSV to win6/5

West Ham vs Genk

The Hammers are setting the pace in Group H and can put one foot into the next round if maintaining their 100 per cent record here.

David Moyes’ side are yet to concede a goal having recorded two professional 2-0 victories so far.

Declan Rice has scored in both games while Michail Antonio and Said Benrahma have also impressed in the claret and blue in the first two matches.

Genk struck late in their opening group game to take three points away in Vienna but were handed a 3-0 battering from Dinamo Zagreb last time.

The visitors have lost their last three while West Ham have won four of their last five in all competitions and look the most likely winners here.

However, there is little value in the 1/3 for a Hammers victory so for the next of our Europa League betting tips, we’ll go West Ham –1 on the handicap at evens.

West Ham -1 to win1/1

Real Betis vs Bayer Leverkusen

These two are flying in Group G and have been providing plenty of entertainment along the way as they both sit unbeaten on six points.

Betis came from two goals down to beat Celtic 4-3 on matchday one before continuing their thirst for goals when putting three past Ferencvaros.

Leverkusen were only 2-1 winners over the Hungarian champions when they met but were in imperious form on matchday two, dispatching Celtic 4-0 at Parkhead.

Despite losing 5-1 to Bayern Munich at the weekend, the visitors are one of the continents’ form teams at present and it would be no surprise to see the Bundesliga outfit bounce back here.

Gerardo Seoane has his team playing some delightful football and they can return to Germany with three points as one of our best footy acca tips.

Bayer Leverkusen to win8/5

Napoli vs Legia Warsaw

We wrap up our Europa League predictions with the Serie A leaders, who have a bit of ground to make up in Group C thanks to a shock home defeat to Spartak Moscow.

That followed an opening draw away to Leicester and they will be desperate to pick up three points on home soil as they welcome Legia to southern Italy.

Lorenzo Insigne, Napoli, Europa League betting tips

The Polish side top the group after two games, beating both Spartak and Leicester 1-0.

They are not to be underestimated but Napoli will be encouraged that the visitors have lost three in a row in their domestic competition.

A Napoli clean sheet was a winner for us in our European football predictions at the weekend and we’ll put our faith in the Gli Azzurri back-line once again as our final football betting tip.
