Football accumulator tips: October 30

UK acca46.76/1

Reading vs Bournemouth

Bournemouth maintained their position at the top of the Championship with a clinical 3-0 victory over Huddersfield last weekend.

With nearest challengers Fulham and West Brom meeting in the early kick-off, the Cherries could have the chance to further their advantage at the top of the pile.

Scott Parker’s side have won their last four and are the only team in the second tier still unbeaten.

Star striker Dominic Solanke continues to thrive and has scored seven in his last nine.

He now has 10 for the season and will be looking to increase that number against a Reading back-line that has regressed in recent weeks.

The Royals have conceded five when suffering back-to-back defeats in their last two and have now dropped to 13th in the table.

It is also worrying they are statistically the third worst defence in the division and it is difficult to see how they pick up a positive result from this fixture.

Bournemouth are looking the real deal and having kept three consecutive clean sheets, look banker material to kick off our football accumulator predictions.

Bournemouth to win3/4

Huddersfield vs Millwall

Huddersfield’s fine run came to an end at Bournemouth and they now face another tough assignment against in-form Millwall.

The Lions have claimed two decent scalps in recent weeks, notching up back-to-back victories over Sheffield United and Stoke.

They have now won four of their last five and have enough points for a place in the top six in what is turning out to be a typically competitive edition of the Championship.

There’s likely to be little between these two but we think Gary Rowett’s side can put their momentum to good use to edge this in our football acca tips for the weekend.

Millwall to win37/20

Hull vs Coventry

There are only two teams worse off than Hull in the Championship and it is hard to see how the Tigers escape the bottom three having won only two of their opening 14 games.

A rare victory over Middlesbrough has been followed by three straight losses and they could be in for another tough afternoon against a Coventry side that are in need of three points.

Martyn Waghorn, Coventry, Football accumulator tips

One of this season’s surprise packages, the Sky Blues looked real promotion candidates when beating Fulham 4-1 but have gone three games without a victory since, drawing two and losing one.

Mark Robins’ side could do with improving their away form to enhance their top-flight credentials and this looks the perfect fixture to begin turning things around on the road.

Coventry’s Viktor Gyokeres will be looking for his 10th of the season in East Yorkshire and with the Swede in peak condition, expect Coventry to create plenty of chances as the next of our football accumulator tips.

Coventry to win7/5

Middlesbrough vs Birmingham

There were beginning to be murmurs of discontent on Teesside not too long ago but that has all changed thanks to a run of four wins from their last five.

All of those victories have been 2-0 and they return to the Riverside having won three on the trot by that scoreline.

Neil Warnock’s side will be hoping to keep the pressure on struggling Birmingham, who ended a seven-game winless run when beating Swansea last weekend.

However, they have not won on their travels since August and with Boro now in the play-off places, they can continue their promotion aspirations as one of our best football tips this weekend.

Middlesbrough to win11/10

Stoke vs Cardiff

Stoke have hit the skids of late and have lost their last four in all competitions but they can take heart from the fact Cardiff are in dire straits.

The Bluebirds have lost their last eight and last weekend’s defeat to Middlesbrough was enough to see Mick McCarthy depart from the Welsh capital.

They are hovering perilously just above the drop zone, thanks in the main to their fast start to the campaign, and it is hard to see how they go about stopping the rot.

For Stoke, it is all about re-establishing their position in the top six and a home fixture is the perfect way to start.

Only Bournemouth have taken all three points when visiting the bet365 Stadium this term and home advantage gives them the edge in the last of our weekend football accumulator tips.

Stoke to win9/10
