The week’s football is rounded off with some fantastic action in Serie A and La Liga on Sunday evening.

We have analysed the odds and picked out five selections which can be combined in a 507/25 European footy acca.

Roma vs AC Milan

AC Milan won their sixth straight Serie A match on Wednesday night to take control in the race for the Scudetto.

Olivier Giroud was the hero for the Rossoneri as his 14th-minute strike was the deciding factor in the 1-0 win over Torino.

For Roma, a 6-1 defeat in Europe was followed by a 0-0 draw with Napoli, in which manager Jose Mourinho received a red card.

However, a 2-1 win at Cagliari was the perfect way to respond and they will relish the opportunity to put a dent in AC Milan’s early title hopes.

Roma’s home form is exceptional and they are unbeaten at the Stadio Olimpico in all competitions this season, keeping a clean sheet in their last three.

No side has scored more than one goal when visiting Rome this term and with that in mind, we’ll play it safe with under 2.5 for our opening European football tips selection.

Real Sociedad vs Athletic Bilbao

There is sure to be no quarter given in the latest instalment of the Basque derby and the visitors will be looking to put a dent in Sociedad’s bid for the La Liga title.

Only goal difference is keeping the hosts off top spot and they are favourites to record a fourth win in five against their local rivals.

Unbeaten in 12 in all competitions since defeat to Barcelona on the opening day of the season, they have coped well with the loss of star man Mikel Oyarzabal in recent weeks.

In Oyarzabal’s absence, 22-year-old Alexander Isak has stepped up to the plate, with the Sweden international scoring in his last two.

Bilbao are unbeaten in four and will refuse to lie down in this grudge match but we think Sociedad have all bases covered to secure the three points.

Real Sociedad to win21/20

Inter Milan vs Udinese

Inter are the division’s highest scorers and got back to winning ways with a professional performance at Empoli in midweek.

Goals from Danilo D’Ambrosio and Federico Dimarco fired the Nerazzurri to a 2-0 victory and that was the perfect way to reignite their title defence following two games without a win.

Udinese have been the division’s draw experts of late, finishing all-square in their last four contests.

Edin Dzeko, Inter Milan, European football tips

They have also gone seven games without a win and it is hard to see that changing here.

With Inter having a talented squad to call upon, including Serie A’s second highest goalscorer Edin Dzeko, three points looks a given here for the hosts.

They can maintain their unbeaten Serie A home record as one of our best European footy acca tips.

Inter Milan to win3/10

Atletico Madrid vs Real Betis

Defending champions Atletico are three points behind the four teams locked on 21 points at the top of the La Liga table, with visitors Betis being one of that quartet.

With Atletico unbeaten at home in the league this term, Betis will be looking to do what only Liverpool have done this season and leave the Wanda Metropolitano with a victory to their name.

To add context to the task facing Manuel Pellegrini’s side, Sociedad, Barcelona and Villarreal have all tried and failed to win in the capital so far this campaign.

However, Betis are unlikely to be overawed by the challenge and there is plenty of substance to their place at the top of the La Liga chart.

We’re expecting an entertaining game and think both teams to score could be the best bet in our European football predictions.

BTTS21/20

Salernitana vs Napoli

The hosts picked up a vital three points in their 2-1 win over Venezia in midweek but could be brought back to earth with a bump in this local derby with their neighbours from Naples.

It has been almost nine years since Salernitana last came out on top in this one and everything suggests they may have to wait a little longer to claim bragging rights.

That is because Napoli have hardly put a foot wrong in their charge for the Scudetto title so far.

Having won their first eight games, they dropped points for the first time when held by Roma last weekend but are definite contenders to lift the Serie A trophy in May.

They have already collected seven clean sheets in all competitions this term and we fancy them to be rock solid at the back once again here in our European football predictions.
